You have to trust that dots (learnings in the past) will somehow connect in future. You have to trust something - Your guts, your destiny, life, karma, whatever.

2. You have got to fine what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

3. Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Learnings from "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" - Part I

1. The treasure house is within you. Look within for the answer to your heart's desire.
2. The great secret possessed by the great men of all ages was their ability to contact and release the powers of their subconscious mind. Anybody can do the same.
3. The subconscious mind has the answer to all problems. If we suggest the subconscious mind "I want to get up at 6:00 AM" it will awaken at that exact time.
4. Our subconscious mind is the builder of our body and can heal us. Lull yourself to sleep every night the ideas of perfect health, and your subconscious mind, being your faithful servant will obey you.
5. Every thought is a cause, and every condition is an effect.
6. If you want to write a book, write a wonderful play, give a better talk to your audience, convey the idea lovingly and feelingly to your subconscious mind and it will respond accordingly.
7. You are like a captain navigating the ship. He or she must give the right orders, or the ship is wrecked. In the same way you must give the right orders(thoughts and images) to your subconscious mind, which controls and governs all your experiences.
8. Never use such expressions as "I can't afford it" or "I can't do this". Your subconscious mind takes you at your word. It sees to it that you do not have the money or the ability to do what you want to do. Affirm, "I can do all things through the power of my subconscious mind. "
9. The law of life is the law of belief. A belief is a thought in your mind. Do not believe in things that will harm or hurt you. Believe in the power of your subconscious mind to heal, inspire, strengthen and prosper you. According to your belief it is done unto you.
10. Change your thoughts and you change your destiny.

Mysteries of the Sacred Universe

The Cosmology of the Bhagavata Purana. The satellite view of the bridge is amazing. Space images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam's Bridge is made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long. The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge's age is also almost equivalent. This bridge is considered to be constructed by Lord Rama to reach Lanka during the Tretayuga which is 1,700,000 years ago.

Kurai Onrum Illai

Tears fell down when I heard the song "Kurai Onrum Illai" composed by the great C. Rajagopalachari, dearly called as"Rajaji." C. Rajagopalachari, the first and only Indian to be the Governor General of India, was an ardent patriot, a pioneering social reformer, incisive thinker, profound scholar and author. Me being a common man, what can I talk about the great Rajaji.

My introduction to Rajaji was done by my father who has read all of his philosopical books like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Upanishads, Puranas, etc,.during my high school days he used to talk about his scholarly knowledge in hinduism. I was very much attracted to his speeches related to Baja Govindam.

The gist of the song is rendered here.

"I have no grievances at all absolutely, vEdha nayakA! kaNNA! Youare not seen by mt eyes; Even though You are not seen by my naked eyes, Ihave no grievances! (implies; I have, because I am not able to see you)

Whatever I wish, You are able to give me, Then, whatelse do I need? (exceptYou); Hence, I have no grievances; maNivaNNA! malai appA! GovindhA!
You are standing behind the curtain (imples stage; You are a soothradhaari); Only vEdic scholars and gnAnis can see You; Even then, I have no grievances (implies, I have because I am not able to see You);

During these "kali" yugam, You have come and entered and stayed as an arch A form at TirumalA, kEsavA! No one can deny Your Existence, GovindhA! When the Merciful, Goddess stays in Your chest all the time, why should Ihave any "kuRai"? GovindhA!"

No words can be used to describe Dr. Rajaji, for his composition of song "Kurai Onrum Illai" and sung by of course the well known devotional singer M.S Subbulakshmi in United Nations concert.

The song can be heard here http://www.switzerinstrument.com/Rajaji-Original/kurai.htm
The song renders the total submission of the human soul to The Lord.

Rajaji's Gems:

1. It needs three things to make a truly great man - a man's brain, a woman's heart and a child's freshness of outlook

2. We make ourselves by our own thoughts and actions, and it is the character that we hammer out in this life that the soul carries With it at the start of its next journey.

Life@Subramanyanagara

What I found in "My Experiments with Truth"

When I was reading the book on "My Experiments with Truth" written by M.K.Gandhi, I found certain things very enthralling and the thoughts of M.K.Gandhi were really little extraordinary. Here are certain excerpts.
1> I know nothing is impossible for pure love. God ultimately svaes him whose motive is pure. Shyness can be one of the reasosn for aloofness. Bad handwriting should be regarded as a sign of an imperfect education.
2> A scientific knowledge of one language makes a knowledge of other languages comparatively easy.
3> A Reformer cannot affort to have close intimacy with him whom he seeks to reform. True friendship is an identity of souls rarely to be found in this world. Only between like natures acan friendship be altogether worthy and enduring. Friends react to one another. Hence in friendship there is very little scope for reform.
4> All exclusive intimacies are to be avoided, for man takes in vice far more readily than virtue. And he who would be friends with God must remain alone, or make the whole world his friend.
5> A servant wrongly suspected may throw up his job, a son in the same case may leave his fathers roof, and a friend may put an end to the friendship. The wife if she suspects her husband, will keep quiet, but if the husband suspects her she is ruined. A hindu wife has no remedy in Law.

My Quotes Bundle

Goodness is not merely a beautiful thing, but by far the most beautiful thing in the whole world; so that nothing is to be compared for value with goodness that riches honor, power, pleasure, learning the whole world and all in it, are not worth having in comparison with being good; and the utterly best thing for a man is to be good, even though were never to be rewarded for it.
-- Charles Kingsley

A thing of beauty is a joy forever, its loveliness increases it will never pass into nothingness.
-- John Keats

There are no ugly women, there are only women who do not know how to look pretty.
